Global Energy Transition Index World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum released the Global Energy Transition Index. The index used to be organized in collaboration with Accenture.
The ten international locations that topped the index were from the Northern and Western parts of Europe. Sweden ranked first in the document accompanied via Norway and Denmark.
India ranked 87th in the index. China was ranked 68th on the index.
Around 92 out of 115 countries performed higher in their combination score. This indicates an advantageous direction in international strength transition.
The World Economic Forum is an international agency for private and public cooperation. The headquarters of WEF is positioned in Switzerland.
World Intellectual Property Day is on 26th April
Each and Every year, World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on April 26. Intellectual property day is celebrated to highlight the importance of Intellectual Property. The day is celebrated through the World International Property and a number of different global organisations.
The day was set up through the World Intellectual Property Organisation in 2000. Its ambitions to enlarge recognition on how copyright, patents, designs and trademarks affect each day life.

Government Extends Vivad se Vishwas Scheme Deadline Till 30th June

The ‘Vivad Se Vishwas’ scheme used to be introduced in the Union Budget 2020, as per which a taxpayer would be required to pay only the amount of the disputed taxes and will get a complete waiver of activity and penalty provided he will pay by means of 31st March 2020.
Those who avail of this scheme after 31st March 2020 will have to pay a 10% extra penalty and pastime amount.
The scheme presents for the contract of disputed tax, interest, penalty or fees in relation to an evaluation or reassessment order on the fee of 100 % of the disputed tax and 25 % of the disputed penalty or pastime or fee.
Appointment of Retired Judges as Ad-Hoc Judges in HC
The Supreme Court cleared the way for the appointment of retired judges as ad-hoc judges in High Courts (HCs) below Article 224A of the Constitution to deal with the mounting backlog of cases. Around fifty-seven lakh cases in HCs are pending. This will be relevant for two to three years to clear the backlog.

SVAMITVA E-Property Cards Distributed
PM Narendra Modi launched the distribution of E-Property Cards underneath the Svamitva (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas) Scheme. Around 4.09 lakh property cards have been distributed. The cards were allotted on the side-lines of National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations.
